Walking around Istanbul, right away we saw so many cats! In front of the Blue Mosque, roaming the Topkapi Palace, everywhere!
In Athens, we saw dogs lounging–on sidewalks, in front of monuments, all over the place.
On Naxos and Paros, there were kitties.
On Santorini, more dogs.
Aren’t they all adorable?!
Every year in late September, a huge street fair takes over ten blocks of Atlantic Avenue in downtown Brooklyn. Up to a million people attend! There are musical acts, restaurant fronts serving specials, beer gardens, regular street food like funnel cake, historic buses from the Transit Museum, booths from local businesses, and more, but mostly, lots and lots of people!

A month ago, for spring break, my boyfriend and I traveled to Costa Rica for a week. It was his first time in Central America and my second (I visited Guatemala over Christmas last year). We went to three distinct areas of the country and saw lovely landscapes everywhere we went.
I’d hoped to see even more wildlife, but the flora and fauna we did see were fascinating.
